No authorship guarantee
The service does not determine with certainty whether content is human-made or AI-generated, and it does not produce a probability that it was. Credentials can be absent, metadata can be altered or stripped, and provider-specific signals may be unverifiable outside the provider.
A valid Content Credential establishes that provenance statements can be attributed to a signer and that the file has not changed since signing. It does not establish that those statements are accurate or that a depicted event occurred.
A result of 'no verified signal' means nothing inspectable was found. It is not a finding of human authorship and must not be presented as one.
Not a basis for decisions about people
Do not use output from this site as the sole basis for an academic penalty, an employment decision, a contract dispute, a content moderation action, or any legal process.
Where a decision affects a person, corroborating evidence is required. For text in particular, no available tool — including this one — can reliably establish authorship, and we say so explicitly rather than leaving it implied.
You are responsible for how you interpret and act on any result shown here.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for having the right to inspect any content you load into the tools, and for complying with applicable law in doing so.
Do not use the service to violate anyone's rights, to harass, or to support a claim you know the evidence does not sustain. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or to misrepresent its output as something it is not.
The tools run in your browser, which means their availability depends on your device and browser as much as on this site.
Local processing responsibility
Content normally remains on your device, but your browser, operating system, extensions, network environment, clipboard, and print destination are outside this site's control.
Browser extensions in particular can read page content. If you are handling sensitive material, use a browser profile you trust and be aware that a print-to-PDF report is written wherever your operating system sends it.
Keep genuinely sensitive material on a device you control.

The service is provided as-is and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It may change, break, or become unavailable without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, or from any decision made on the basis of its output.
