What image metadata may reveal
Camera manufacturer and model, capture dates, editor software, descriptive IPTC fields, and XMP workflow information can help explain a file’s history. A GPS warning appears when location fields are present.
Strings such as Firefly, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini are shown as metadata hints only. Anyone can rewrite or strip these fields.
Why absence tells you little
Many sharing services re-encode images. Screenshots create new files. Privacy tools strip location and camera fields. An empty metadata report is common and must not be converted into a human-authorship claim.
